OLA Year End 2016 Message

Hello:

Thank you for a wonderful year at Our Lady of the Assumption School. I would like to thank our terrific staff for all their hard work and I would like to thank all of the parents for advocating, supporting, and encouraging your children. Together we are making our school a very special place. Lastly, thank you to all the wonderful students for sharing their many gifts with us.

2016-17 promises to be an exciting year. We have many exciting ideas and we are welcoming new staff into our OLA family.

On behalf of Our Lady of the Assumption I wish everyone an enjoyable, restful and safe summer vacation. We will miss our grade 6 students who are moving on and we look forward to seeing everyone else on September 6.

for their new schools, new friends, and new activities;

and for their well-being.

We pray for everyone here.

That we have a happy summer holiday, for safety for those who travel, for families and friends, for help and guidance, and for continuing growth in faith and hope and love.

Hear us, heavenly Father, as we offer our prayers to you –

the prayers we have said, and the silent prayers of our hearts –

OLA Staffing 2016-17: August update2

August 25, 2016 Update

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Abby Martin will be joining our staff this year as a 0.5 FTE teacher. Her primary duties are teaching Math 1/2O and LA 6MK. This spring Ms. Martin completed her PSIII at Our Lady of the Assumption School.

We are looking forward to having Ms. Martin rejoin our community.

August 12, 2016 Update

At the end of June we announced our teaching staff for the 2016-17 school year. One of our teachers, Mrs. Baptista, has decided to take a leave for the 2016-17 school year. We wish her well and look forward to having her back the following school year. Due to this leave the following changes we be occuring:

Ms. Chandler Pedersen will be the AM and PM homeroom teacher in grade 4 (4P);
Next week we will be advertising a new 0.5 FTE position at OLA. The bulk of this position will be teaching grade 1/2O math and grade 6MK language arts. We hope to have the new teacher in place by the following week.

June 14, 2016 Update

We are now done our teaching staffing for 2016-17. We thank Mrs. Greeno, Ms. Groten, and Ms. McNulty for sharing their many gifts with us. All three of them are transferring to our new school Blessed Mother Teresa. We wish them all the best. Also, Mrs. Graf is taking a leave for a year. We wish her all the best too. Replacing these four talented teachers was hard. Next year we welcome Mrs. Orr (transferring from St. Patrick’s School), Mr. Tratch (transferring from St. Paul School), and new teachers Ms. Chief Moon and Ms. Pedersen.
